Summary of the Role
This position is typically responsible for a variety of tasks that are manufacturing or distribution based and includes counter sales and service, assembling and manufacturing hose assemblies and kits and maintain inventory in an orderly fashion.
Responsibilities
Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures.
Provides technical assistance, support, and customer sales and service activities on front line (counter);
Responsible to update sales order and inventory module within P21 (inventory control system)
Assembles products to company, customer, and manufacturer’s standards.
Operates mechanical equipment, hand tools, forklifts and picking lifts.
Assembling hydraulic hose/industrial and tube assemblies for line 5
Assemble hydraulic/ Industrial hose assemblies and tube assemblies for counter sales.
Make recommendations to supervisor/manager with respect to product and process improvements.
Assists with physical inventory when assigned.
May deliver products or visit customer sites.
General maintenance activities as assigned.
Performs other related duties as required.
Skills and Abilities
Possess excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with customers, and team-members in a professional manner.
Must have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Strong interpersonal skills; works well within a team environment.
Requires a proficiency in math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in units of measure. Additionally, must be able to perform calculations using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
Basic mechanical skills including the use of hand tools.
Basic computer skills including MS Word, Excel, internet, and email.
Qualifications
1-2 years of warehousing or production experience in an industrial setting is preferred;
A high school diploma or equivalent
